Born in 1996 in the Limpopo Province, Thabo Modillane passed his matric in 2016 at Litshovu Secondary School. His formal education in the arts started in 2018 when he enrolled for a National Diploma in Fine and Applied Arts at the Tshwane University of Technology.
Majoring in Painting and sculpture, Modillane successfully completed his National Diploma and is currently pursuing an Advanced Diploma in Fine and Applied Arts at the Tshwane University of Technology
Thabo has recently been awarded the Ghorbany Art and Design Award (2021), participated as a facilitator for the Arts Envoy Public Installation Programme by the US Embassy. Modillane's work was recently purchased by the Art Bank of South Africa as well as included in the Creative block program by Spier Art Trust.
