Ms Simone has two paid internship position
available as part of the Presidential Employment Stimulus Programme supported
by the South African ArtBAnk through the Department of Sports, Arts and
Culture.
Ms Simone is an art consultancy company
focused on contemporary South African and African art. Ms Simone has three main
objective features, which are Art, Research and Design. Ms Simone aims to open
up a lens on contemporary South African and African art, by providing support
to artists and the art sector through project management, profiling, and
research.

REQUIREMENTS:
- National Diploma in Fine Art/
Art Humanities qualification
- Good Administration Skills
- Good Communication skills
- Good Organisational skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Basic Project Management Skills
- Basic Social media management

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Updating and maintaining of Ms
Simone Database
- Communication and liaison with
artists, crafters, and service providers
- Compile research reports on
contemporary South African art and artists
- Update and maintain Ms Simone
website and social media pages
- Conduct research on South
African Artists
- Create Weekly Ms Simone Pick of
the week for all Ms Simone Social Media Platforms
- Create concise and relevant
exhibition reviews of exhibitions happening in the Gauteng Province
- The successful applicant will
be put through an intensive writing for the arts sector programme with
weekly outputs.
MENTORSHIP:
- The intern will be mentored by
the direct line manager
- Mentorship will be day by day
with a monthly performance discussion
- The intern will receive a
reference letter from the mentor on completion of the internship. The
mentor reserves the right to determine the content of the reference
letter. The reference letter will be an accurate reflection of the quality
of the work performance of the intern.
